Travelers’ guide
Please contact our Call Centre for booking changes if your scheduled flight is within 40 minutes or if you need to make name changes, or itinerary changes to bookings.
For every ticket purchased, there is a total baggage allowance of 15kgs (hand baggage and check-in baggage) – This does not apply to infants.
- Any baggage that exceeds the paid baggage allowance will be at an additional fee of $25, at our prevailing rate
- Masai Mara flights the the total baggage allowance is 10kgs per person.
These items are not to be carried in hand baggage, but can be carried in check-in baggage
- Knives (including hunting knives, swords and pocket knives)
- Scissors and any other sharp/bladed objects (e.g. ice-pick, nail clippers)
- Weapons
- Sporting equipment such as baseball/ cricket bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks, billiard cues.
- Baby strollers
Travel Assistance
Unaccompanied minor
- This refers to passengers between the ages of 5-12 years, travelling alone.
- Children between the ages of 5 and 12 years of age will be accepted to travel provided a responsible adult escorts the child at both airport of departure and of arrival
- The responsible adult should present the child at check-in and complete declaration prior. The adult will be requested to remain at the airport until the aircraft is airborne.
- All unaccompanied minors between the ages of 5-12 years must complete a parental/ guardian consent form before travel. The form is available here (insert link to form here)
- If you would like to make a booking for an unaccompanied minor, this cannot be done through our website. Please contact FLY 748 to make the booking.
- Please ensure that the child has necessary travel documentation, passport or birth certificate for proof of identification.
- A passenger over the age of 14years may travel independently.
- A passenger between the age of 12 and 14 years of age are referred to as unaccompanied youth and escorted but will not require a parental/guardian declaration

- Infants are defined as passengers under the age of 2 years old.
- Passengers with infants are permitted to carry fully collapsible baby strollers at no extra cost. Infants do not have any other baggage allowance.
- Passengers must carry a birth certificate for the identification of the infant.
- Infants must be a minimum of 7 days old
- Pregnant women may travel up to the end of their 28th week of pregnancy, and up to the end of the 35th week.
- Travel after this and up to the end of the 35th week is permitted providing the passenger has a doctor’s letter confirming the expected due date of delivery and the health of the mother.
Passengers with Casts
- The length of time required for passengers to have their plaster casts in place before a flight is 48 hours.
- The passenger must have a fitness to fly certificate in their possession. In addition to this the following recommendations should be considered:

- A split cast is recommended so that it can be easily removed should the limb swell up during the flight
- If the passenger has an inflatable splint you must be able to let the air out in the event, it causes additional pressure due to the aircraft environment and reduce the supply of blood to the limb.
